Community benefits

Every Stromlo Energy project includes a Community Benefit Package aimed at sharing project benefits with the community around our projects.

What we are doing now
What we’ll do in the future

Devlins Bridge Wind Farm includes a 35-year annual community benefits package.

This package will include a community benefits fund, a neighbour benefit program and ongoing contributions to local Council.

We are open to your ideas on the type of community programs and infrastructure you would like to see included in the program, you can use the feedback form in the contact section or come and have a chat at one of our community drop in sessions.

What we are doing now

The project will be designed based on your feedback and the results of our site investigations;

We are seeking advice from project hosts, neighbours and the local community about what is important to you – your feedback will be considered in the project design as we seek to avoid, minimise and mitigate project impacts on the community;

We are seeking ideas from the local community on the implementation of the project’s community benefits package;

We are creating a local supplier register for project services and goods for development, construction and ongoing maintenance, you can register your interest on the project website;

We are holding a series of community drop-in sessions and attending local events.

We are running an early community sponsorships and grant program.

What we’ll do in the future

If the project is successful in achieving approval, Stromlo Energy will:

Implement the community benefits fund that provides annual funding to be used for community programs and infrastructure;

Implement the benefits sharing scheme for close neighbours that provides annual payments linked to the proximity of infrastructure to dwellings;

Provide opportunities for employment of locals;

Draw on the local supplier register for projects services and goods that can become part of the main contracts for project construction and maintenance;

Create and implement an education/upskilling/training program for upskilling locals to increase employment outcomes in the region; and

Upgrade and maintain Mundarra Road, Euroley.
