EPBC Referral

The purpose of the referral is to determine whether the Project is considered to be a controlled action under the EPBC Act. The referral documents can be viewed on the EPBC Portal.

The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water will decide whether to declare the Project a controlled action and whether to assess the Project under the bilateral agreement with the NSW Government as part of the Environmental Impact Statement process. We expect this decision to occur in September and will provide further updates once we are informed of the decision.
